Got Turf: Lawn Goodbye #5 Front Yard for Everyone!

This Redwood City, CA. property has 4 generations of my client’s family growing up in this same house.

Our repeat client had purchased his family home from his almost 100 year old father’s recent passing. The legacy for his own son’s family childhood home, is rippling on to live in now with his young child and wife.

The project started with his vision of creating a low maintenance, drought tolerant attractive front yard. Embracing the smaller space available and the sunnier front yard ideal for playing and entertaining family and friends on their coveted weekends.

“Kim, Everyone loves the colorful fenced yard, especially the youngest member of our family! We are hearing from everyone everyday this is the nicest yard on our block. We love coming home to practically live in our front yard now!”

The kids love the enclosed area and already they are hearing it is the neighborhood movie night destination. First weekend they showed “Frozen” against the garage door. All the neighbors co-mingled on that summer eve.

Hi, Kim! I apologize for not writing earlier to say what a marvelous job you did with the yard, turning it into such a beautiful, playful space!! Everyone loves it, especially Liam! Of course, the plantings have grown so much and filled in the space now. Have you been by to see?

Do you have time, in your busy life, to have tea here sometime? I tutor every day except Friday. Some days I have students late afternoon and some days I don’t tutor until 7:00 p.m. I feel out of touch and miss you. I’m sorry I haven’t emailed or phoned you in a long time. Let me know whenever if you would like to have afternoon tea here.
